Jaap Reesema
After winning X-Factor in 2010, Jake Reese (Jaap Reesema) collaborated with Hardwell on his singles Run Wild and Mad World, for which he won the award for Best Vocal Performance at the 2015 IDMA’s. After this success, Jake went on releasing several hit songs with several worldwide top artists. These collaborations include Lost Frequencies, David Guetta & Showtek (co-writer and singer), the single ‘Your Love’, the single of KSHMR ‘Carry Me Mome’ (co-writer and singer), Sam Feldt, Topic, Lucas & Steve, Dash Berlin, Waka Flocka and many others.
In 2015 Jake wrote and sang the song Day To Feel Alive for the Ameriprise US campaign, which was also used as the opening song for the Anderson Cooper Show on CNN for an entire season.
For his solo project, Jake is combining his dance background with the more raw/natural vibe of ‘Day To Feel Alive’. His latest release ‘Ellie’ with the Belgian DJ Regi reached the number 1 spot for 7 weeks in Belgium. Jaap is considered one of Holland’s best toplinewriters and featuring vocal artist. He worked with several songwriters and artists including Saltwives (Zayn / Iggy Azalea), Daylight (Stitches, Shawn Mendes), Robopop (Maroon 5, Lana del Rey), Showtek, Jean Baptiste Kouame (Rihanna, Chris Brown, Black Eyed Peas) and has co-written ‘Thinking about you’ by HARDWELL & Jay Sean.
Next to dance and pop, Jaap is also writing songs which are very suitable for syncs. For example, his song ‘Day To Feel Alive’ was used in the USA for an Ameriprise campaign. Jaap has an outstanding voice and this resulted in co-writes and releases with these top artists.
